But accepting my feelings meant doing something I feared more- honoring those feelings and not apologizing for them. And what does being honest about my important feelings mean? Standing true to myself even when others disagree.
I am not one to start conflict, so given the option between honoring my feelings and dealing with conflict or pushing my feelings away to prevent conflict, I often chose the second.
But I learned one huge lesson this month- you should not need to apologize for the authentic person you are, because the people, things, etc. that are meant to be in your life will stay and will evolve with you.
So in the last month, I have started to find myself more through honoring my feelings, but I have also experienced a lot of change too. I have made choices that terrified me, but that finally honored my emotions and gave me a chance to heal.
This month, I invite you to join me in acknowledging and accepting your emotions, processing them, and finding the courage to respectfully speak up for yourself. We're learning a lot this month, but we're doing it together, friends.
